Housing at the Crossroads provides transitional housing units and case management services for homeless families with children under age 18. Our purpose is to help homeless families accomplish the following:
Break the generational chain of homelessness and poverty through early intervention and case management
Secure jobs through education and training programs that provide adequate income to afford market rate housing
Acquire budgeting, parenting and other life skills that increase the chance of success
Provide a stable living environment for children and enable them to maintain regular school attendance
What Is Transitional Housing?
Housing at the Crossroads provides transitional, or non-permanent, housing. A family's length of stay in a unit depends upon the time needed for them to achieve sufficient stability and resources to secure permanent housing. The maximum stay is two years.
During their time in the program, each family pays one third of its adjusted income in rent and utilities. When the family graduates from the program, Housing at the Crossroads assists them in the transition to permanent housing.
Our Facilities
Housing at the Crossroads owns and operates 12 units of transitional housing. Eight units are located in Bellevue and four units are in Kirkland.
Case Management
Each family that enters our program is assigned a case manager who works with parents to create a stable living environment, set goals, and obtain education or job training. Case managers also arrange necessary social services for clients.
